The new Information and Management of Time Limits Regulations

The Information and Management of Time Limits Regulations that support the Impact Assessment Act – will be published in the Canada Gazette, Part II on August 21, 2019, and come into force on August 28, 2019. This regulation provides clarity about the information requirements for an impact assessment and sets out criteria under which legislated time limits could be suspended.

Consultations leading to the development of the new Information and Management of Time Limits

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency sought public comments until May 31, 2019 on regulations that would set out key requirements related to information and time management in the new impact assessment system.
